UCA HOMECOMING!
University of Central Arkansas celebrates 100 years of learning with their homecoming festivities including the football game against the Nicholls State Colonels, from Thibodaux, LA. The theme this year was BEAR FEVER and some took this very seriously! With the multitude of "bugs" that may be caught on any college campus, BEAR FEVER looks to be, well....you judge for yourself.

The parade was held downtown Conway for the first time in 30 years.

What is homecoming without cheerleaders?

As we moved to the game at beautiful Estes Stadium on the UCA campus, we were graced with a fly by, by the 188th Airborne out of Fort Smith, AR.

The game proved to be very intense! The scoring stayed tight until the second half.

With every touchdown, we CELEBRATED BEAR STYLE!

I've decided that I want Nathan on my Fantasy Football Team...He is more consistent than many we have had!

At the half, the score was 21-21.

The band added to the excitement by making their rounds into the stands.

The Colonels took the lead with 2 touchdowns, a missed extra point and then a 2 point conversion. The BEARS were not to be outdone. They came back to tie the game and regulation time ended with the score 42-42. BEARS win the toss to attempt to score first, and do...this is the touchdown and the the kick for the extra point was good!

Then the Colonels get the ball...but fate was with the BEARS this homecoming game. The Colonels fumble, the BEARS recover and the game ends.

The Outstanding Player Award went to Nathan Brown of Russellville, AR!

Final score 49-42 BEARS!!!

CONGRATULATIONS BEARS ON YOUR HOMECOMING VICTORY!!!

Kim' Bridals
What a beautiful fall day! The temperature was pleasant and the sun definitely had a fall slant to it.
We met Kim and her mom, Joy at the capital this afternoon for bridal portraits. We captured a few that would not give away any hints of her dress, just in case Patrick takes a look!

Kim and Patrick will exchange vows here in Conway on December 1. For us, we will not only celebrate the union of these two wonderful families, but we will also celebrate our 28th anniversary!

To finish out the day our friends and neighbors Chet Wessman and Sarah McCalman exchanged vows at the Celebration Church. The temperature was still a bit warm as we went in, but as we stepped through the door, it was like stepping in to a celebration of the fall harvest. The smell of hot cider, the warm glow of the candles illuminating the room and the sweet fellowship of friends.

For those of you that had the blessing of seeing Casting Crowns in concert last night at Alltel, know how powerful the messages of their music can be. It did our hearts good to relax and just enjoy the music and the fellowship of our friends Jolene and Gerald Ware. They introduced us to several new people, one being a sweetheart that shares my and Jolene's love of shoes! Catie, it was a pleasure and I look forward to the next time we meet!

It was girls' night in at my house this evening as the storm passed through bringing some much needed rain. Amber and Chelsey had shared a pizza after a grueling Monday and no real answers yet on the results of their Biology test! As Amber was walking Chelsey to her car, I hear "a rainbow! A DOUBLE rainbow! Mom come here, I gotta have a picture!" So we got out the fish eye to make sure we got both sides and here is what we saw...God's never ending promise after the storm.
Then to look to the west...
It was a peaceful weekend after getting Lisa and Keith's wedding pictures posted at the event link. Today began the reviewing of Amy and Justin's wedding pictures to get them ready for viewing.
I got notice today that Natalie and Dillon's wedding album has been received by our binder, so we expect to have it back mid week, next week! This one is a landscape layout for those of you that like something a little different! I'm so excited and can hardly wait to get it back!
Next weekend will be fun filled! Friday night Casting Crowns will be in concert at Alltel Arena and we will be there!!! We love this group. The first time that they were here, they were opening for Steven Curtis Chapman, but this time, they are the main attraction!
Saturday will find us at the State Capital with Kim for her bridal session in the afternoon and then to a friend's wedding in the evening!
Sunday after church, we have a senior shoot with the Moix twins.
Well, Chelsey and Amber...now you have your rainbow!!!
