The graduating class of April 23, 2008 was a group of people that stand out from the crowd. They were a few of the less than 2% that applied to Delta Air Lines for the position of flight attendant and then successfully completed the training. It was an intense 6 weeks of training involving emergency equipment from the many different planes, emergency procedures, customer service and the destinations world wide that Delta now serves. This brief description only touches the surface. As the procession of graduates come in to a large round of applause from families and friends, Natalie had a wink for her daddy.
Diploma and wings in hand.
And then hugs for him.
And then hugs for him.
The pinning of the wings to the graduates is a tremendous honor and is by someone close to the graduate. The wearing of the uniform is an earned privilege and is not worn before the successful completion of training.
These two ladies were tremendous facilitators. Their class began with 30 and graduated with 27. Leslie on the left and Bobbi on the right. Thank you ladies for investing yourselves in this class and for instilling in them a very functional pride in themselves and their company. We believe that this makes for a wonderful face for the public to meet and trust.Iris, one of Natalie's classmates and her mother, Maria, from Switzerland pinning wings.
Congratulations to the entire K class! We are proud of your accomplishment and look forward to seeing you on a flight soon!
