FRIENDS...
A very valuable thing in a person's life. Yesterday, a little after 7 am Amber came to me saying that Nicky would be here in just a few minutes to decorate Natalie's car. Natalie had no clue what was in the making. We closed all of the front shades so that Natalie would not notice anything going on out front, but I had to peek through the shades to take a look myself! Nicky worked diligently for quite some time with car chalk, a balloon bouquet, card and sweet treats! Here is what awaited Nat when she headed out to work on Valentine's Day morning!
"What's that? Who did this?"
"Oh, my goodness!"
It's that face that says, I'm tough, Mom, but we all know that she is a mush-mello!!!

See what I mean, she can only pretend for a few seconds and this comes back...

Calling Nicky with thanks.

2008 was off to a rough start for Nat and Nicky knew that yesterday might be extra hard, so she planned ahead to start Nat's day by showing her that there are friends that love her unconditionally! It worked! Nicky, all of us should be a friend like you! You are a terrific example to follow. We love you!
CHANGE...
Some is good and some is even better! We had decided that certain things had to change and we wanted to learn from someone who knew how to make the changes we wanted to make. Mitche was our answer. He was to be in Tennessee this week with his Boot Camp so we called and made our reservations.

Mitche has a wealth of valuable information and is able to present it in a very functional manner. We came away with a mulititude of ideas that could be implemented immediately and many more that we will work into our business in the months to come. Check out Mitche's website to get the remainder of his tour schedule.

THE WINNER!!!
Last Sunday at the bridal fair, we had hundreds of brides and grooms stop by to check us out.
Of those that signed up to win a FREE bridal session to accompany whatever wedding package they would purchase, the beautiful bride to be who's name was chosen is CHRISTY REEVES of North Little Rock! Christy, you have until Saturday, February 9th to contact us and claim your prize. Please give us a call at 501-472-4470.

This week brought meetings with brides and work on Lindsay and Stephen's wedding pictures. Wow, did their friends do a number on their get-away car! I hadn't really analyzed it until we were going through the images. It still makes me laugh when I think about it. I also had the privilege of speaking to Lindsay's sweet daddy on the phone. What wonderful families Lindsay and Stephen have. You both are truly blessed.

We look forward to hearing from our winner this week!

ELECTRIC!!!
The best word I can think of to describe today's bridal fair in Little Rock! There were brides, grooms, friends, moms, dads and anyone else you may think of from all over the state!
The electricity of the crowd was so great that it raised the temp of the convention center by several degrees-literally.

The best advertising one could ask for is word of mouth-straight from the mouths and hearts of those that we have worked with before. This year we featured 2 of our brides/grooms. One from September, Amy and Justin and one from this coming May, Alicia and Jakob.

A couple of weeks ago, we shot Alicia and Jakob's engagement session in downtown Conway. We put together the first phase of their portfolio and ordered one of their favorite prints to display.

Amy and Justin's wedding was in September at Garven Woodland Gardens. Their wedding album came in just a couple of weeks ago, along with their Storybook Engagement album and they graciously brought both allowing all of those that desired to, look through the story of their day. Amy's super sweet mom allowed us to share her album as well, with the promise that we would take special care of it! Thank you Sweet Jan!
There were those that took advantage of the bridal fair special and nailed down their date with us! We are exited to meet with each of you this coming week. Those that signed up for our drawing, we will be making that drawing in the next couple of days and posting the winner here on the blog. We will give the winner a week from the posting date to contact us and set a meeting time for claiming their complementary bridal session!
Those of you that have been asking about the bridal fair in NW Arkansas-we reserved our booth today! We are making plans to see you on September 28th in Rogers if not sooner...

Thank you again to Amy & Justin, Alicia & Jakob for joining us this afternoon! The prospective brides were most grateful for your input. We are most grateful that we had (and have) the wonderful opportunity to document this very special time in your life!

Thank you also to the many new friends that we met today! It is an exciting time for you and we genuinely share in that excitement! We look forward to meeting with many more of you again soon.

One last thing for tonight. The Arkansas Democrat Gazette distributes a free bridal planner each year. If you have not gotten yours, you can go online or call to receive yours!

Looking forward to tomorrow...

It is time for the largest bridal fair in Arkansas, sponsored by the Arkansas Democrat Gazette! We will be at the State House Convention Center in downtown Little Rock, next to the River Market on Sunday from 1-5:30, so come and see what is new!

This year our featured bride and groom are Amy (Sheridan) & Justin Nichols from Benton. Their wedding was in September at Garven Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs. You can find more details about their wedding in our September blog archives.

Our featured bride and groom to be is Alicia Simpson and Jakob Michaelis from Conway. They will be exchanging vow in May at Alicia's home church in Morrilton. You can find more details about their session in this month's blog posts.

Each will be available with their albums to share with you and to answer questions you might have about their experiences with us!

Tabitha Cunningham and her crew have worked tirelessly in preparation for the big event. The advertising has been superb and everyone is expecting record numbers of brides to visit. This is so exciting for us! There is a special magic when so many brides come together with the anticipation of seeing which vendors match their style, taste and personality. Ladies, if there is one thing that we would suggest to you, it would be to choose the vendors that will add joy and excitement to your day. You want them to match your personality and style in such a way that they will complement you and your bridal party--not cause you stress!

We will be having a drawing for a free bridal session and an 11x14 print, so stop by to see us and sign up! The weather is forecast to be near 60 tomorrow, which after this week of cold temps is more than welcome. It makes us yearn for Tampa weather again...

We look forward to meeting each of you tomorrow and then again in a one on one meeting in the coming weeks! Stop by and say hello!

Lindsay & Stephen's Wedding

The long awaited day finally arrive with beautiful sunshine and a chill in the air. Lindsay and Stephen chose the Albert Pike Hotel as the place that they would join their lives forever. They each wrote vows to the other that committed not only their lives to one another, but their souls.

Preparing to meet her groom...

Waiting to see his bride for the first time in her dress...

Carrying Stephen's gift...

A vision of loveliness as Stephen's mom and the girls watch through the window in the background...
A glimpse of Ni Kole through the window while Stephen enjoys his gift.

One of a daddy's hardest yet most joyful jobs is to give his little girl away. He knew that Stephen was exactly right for Lindsay, as she was for him.
From the first dance as Mr. and Mrs. Roberts, to Lindsay's dance with her daddy and Allie.

Stephen and mom, Kim.
Joe, of Central Arkansas Entertainment , provided great music and a super fun atmosphere for the reception. He presented the couple with music from the evening to be enjoyed again and again!

Chicken Dance anyone?
And then we slipped away from the reception for just a few minutes of private time...

Lindsay and Stephen, we hope that you are having a great time this week! Your day was gorgeous and we are most honored to have been witnesses to this beautiful union! We wish you all of the best as you now walk through life together, hand in hand and heart to heart.

TAMPA-Sunday, January 6th
Backtracking, just a bit to catch up our week in Tampa, we move to Sunday. We sat under Jeff and Julia Woods, who shared their secrets to a well oiled, finely tuned, smoothly run business. As business grows rapidly, it is certainly helpful to listen others that have been down the same path. People and businesses are different, but there are bits and pieces that come together from different sources that we can use to fine tune our own business and in turn, serve our clients more efficiently. After all, the part that we like the most is serving our clients!!!
At noon, we shuttled to Imaging USA for the afternoon. Imaging is a huge trade show with lots of vendors and lots of great people.

Just outside our hotel as we left for an evening of fun, food, fellowship and games!
Hmmm, my date....do you recognize those eyes?
GraphiStudios sponsored the event at

One of the games was a spin off of "Deal or NO Deal" with our own "Howie" This young lady was Stacy from St. Louis, MO.

And then the lovely girls from Graphi.
Hmmm, do I keep the one I have or choose that one?

OK, that one...I want to trade...
Our own wonderful rep from Graphi had the privilege of announcing that she had won the top prize. Yervant's Page Gallery program! I thought Stacy was going to do back flips, she was so excited.

In the middle you will see Garrett and Joy Nudd, friends from TN/FL.
Garrett...what is it?
And then dancing to top the evening off!
Thanks to all who made the evening so much fun!
